Nikon Z5II with 24-70mm f/4 S Lens

The Nikon Z5II with 24-70mm f/4 S Lens is a powerful full-frame mirrorless camera kit designed for photographers, videographers, content creators, and professionals who demand excellent image quality, dependable autofocus, and versatile shooting performance. Combining the advanced Nikon Z5II camera body with the highly regarded NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens, this setup provides an excellent balance between portability, optical quality, and creative flexibility.

At the heart of the Nikon Z5II is a 24.5MP FX-format BSI-CMOS sensor paired with Nikon’s EXPEED 7 image-processing engine. This combination delivers detailed photographs, natural colors, impressive dynamic range, and strong low-light performance. Whether you are photographing portraits, landscapes, events, products, travel, or everyday subjects, the Z5II provides the image quality expected from a modern full-frame camera.

Professional Full-Frame Image Quality

The full-frame FX-format sensor gives photographers greater control over depth of field while providing excellent detail and tonal performance. The 24.5MP resolution is well suited to commercial photography, portraiture, wedding photography, travel, and content creation, giving you enough resolution for high-quality prints and detailed cropping.

The Nikon Z5II also features a wide standard ISO range of ISO 100–64,000, expandable to an equivalent of ISO 204,800. This makes the camera particularly useful when working in challenging lighting conditions, from indoor environments and evening events to nighttime scenes and available-light photography.

EXPEED 7 Processing and Advanced Autofocus

The Z5II uses Nikon’s EXPEED 7 processor, the same generation of processing technology found in Nikon’s professional mirrorless cameras. It provides fast image processing, responsive autofocus, improved subject recognition, and smooth overall operation.

Its sophisticated autofocus system includes subject detection and 3D-tracking, helping the camera maintain focus on moving subjects. The Z5II can detect a variety of subjects, making it suitable for photographing people, animals, birds, sports, events, and fast-moving scenes. Autofocus performance extends into extremely low-light conditions, with detection capability down to approximately -10 EV under specified conditions.

Capture the Moment with Fast Shooting

When photographing action, timing is critical. The Nikon Z5II can shoot at up to 14 frames per second using its mechanical shutter, while electronic-shutter modes provide even faster shooting options, including up to 30 fps for JPEG capture. Pre-Release Capture can also help record moments just before the shutter is fully pressed, giving photographers a better chance of capturing unpredictable action.

5-Axis In-Body Vibration Reduction

One of the major advantages of the Nikon Z5II is its built-in 5-axis image stabilization. Nikon rates the system at up to 7.5 stops of stabilization under specified testing conditions, helping reduce camera shake when shooting handheld.

This is especially useful for low-light photography, indoor shooting, travel, street photography, and situations where using a tripod is inconvenient. Combined with the f/4 maximum aperture of the supplied lens, the stabilization system gives you greater flexibility when shooting at slower shutter speeds.

NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S Lens

The included NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens is an exceptionally versatile standard zoom for the Nikon Z system. Its 24-70mm focal-length range covers a broad selection of everyday photography needs, making it a practical choice for photographers who want one lens that can handle multiple shooting situations.

At 24mm, the lens is well suited to landscapes, architecture, interiors, travel photography, and environmental portraits. Moving toward 50mm provides a natural perspective for everyday photography, while the 70mm end is useful for portraits and tighter compositions.

The constant f/4 maximum aperture is maintained throughout the zoom range, providing consistent exposure and predictable handling as you zoom. The lens also features Nikon’s advanced optical design, including ED glass, aspherical elements, Nano Crystal Coat, and fluorine coating.

A Versatile Camera for Photography and Video

The Nikon Z5II is more than a stills camera. It is a capable hybrid system for creators producing professional video, online content, interviews, events, documentaries, and commercial productions.

The camera supports 4K UHD video, N-RAW recording, N-Log and HLG options, waveform display, focus peaking, electronic VR, time code, and other professional video tools. It can also record Full HD slow-motion footage and features a vari-angle touchscreen that makes it easier to compose from creative shooting positions.

Vari-Angle Touchscreen and High-Resolution Viewfinder

The Z5II features a 3.2-inch vari-angle touchscreen LCD with approximately 2.1 million dots. The vari-angle design is particularly useful for low-angle compositions, video production, self-recording, and creative photography.

Its approximately 3.69-million-dot electronic viewfinder provides a bright, detailed viewing experience, while Nikon specifies a maximum brightness of up to 3,000 nits. This makes composing and reviewing scenes more comfortable in challenging lighting conditions.

Dual SD Card Slots for Flexible Storage

For photographers working on important assignments, the Nikon Z5II provides two SD card slots, supporting SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards, with UHS-II compatibility. Dual card slots can provide additional storage flexibility and are particularly valuable for professional photography and event work.

Who Should Buy the Nikon Z5II with 24-70mm f/4 S Lens?

This Nikon camera and lens combination is suitable for a wide range of users. Professional photographers can use it for portraits, events, weddings, commercial assignments, products, and travel. Content creators and videographers benefit from its full-frame sensor, stabilization, autofocus, vari-angle display, and professional video formats.

It is also an excellent option for photographers upgrading from an entry-level DSLR or crop-sensor camera who want the benefits of a full-frame Nikon Z system without moving immediately into a larger professional body.
