Professional Lighting with a 105cm Round Design

Smooth and Even Light Distribution

The Phottix Rex Pro 105cm Quick Folding Softbox features a circular design supported by 16 ribs. This structure helps create a rounded lighting surface that is useful for producing smooth highlights and balanced illumination.

In portrait photography, a round softbox can create attractive circular catchlights in the eyes, contributing to a natural and appealing appearance. Its broad lighting surface also helps soften shadows when positioned appropriately in relation to the subject.

For beauty and fashion photography, the round shape provides flexibility when illuminating faces, clothing, and accessories. Photographers can adjust the softbox’s distance and angle to achieve different lighting styles, from soft, flattering portraits to more directional commercial images.

Ideal for Product and Commercial Photography

Consistent lighting is essential for presenting products clearly in online stores, advertising campaigns, and business catalogues. The Phottix Rex Pro 105cm Softbox helps photographers create controlled illumination for products such as electronics, cosmetics, accessories, and other retail items.

Its reflective interior helps direct light efficiently, while the included diffuser allows users to soften the output. The removable grid provides additional control when the photographer needs to limit light spill onto the background or surrounding objects.

These features make the softbox a useful option for e-commerce photography, product demonstrations, brand campaigns, and professional commercial shoots.

Quick-Folding Mechanism for Efficient Workflows

Fast Setup and Release

One of the key advantages of the Phottix Rex Pro is its quick one-push setup and release mechanism. This design helps simplify the process of opening and folding the softbox, allowing photographers to spend less time assembling equipment.

It is particularly useful for event photographers, mobile studio operators, and production teams who regularly work in changing environments. Faster setup can also be beneficial when several lights must be positioned before a shoot begins.

Portable Design for Location Shoots

The Phottix Rex Pro features a slim folding design that makes it easier to pack when travelling between studios, offices, event venues, and outdoor locations.

The included carrying bag provides a convenient way to store and transport the softbox when it is not in use. This portability makes it a practical addition to a professional lighting kit without requiring the softbox to remain permanently assembled.

Multiple Diffusion Options for Greater Lighting Control

Inner Reflective Baffle and Shoot-Through Baffle

The Phottix Rex Pro includes an inner reflective baffle and a shoot-through baffle to support different lighting configurations. These components allow photographers to modify how light travels through the softbox and adjust the resulting illumination to suit the subject and shooting environment.

By experimenting with the included components and light positioning, users can tailor their setup to different creative requirements.

Outer Diffuser for Softer Illumination

The outer diffuser helps spread light across the front of the softbox, producing a softer lighting effect when used correctly. This is useful for portrait photography, interviews, fashion shoots, and product images where harsh shadows or strong highlights may be undesirable.

The diffuser can help create a more balanced appearance, particularly when the softbox is positioned relatively close to the subject.

Removable Grid for Directional Lighting

The included fabric grid provides greater control over the direction of the light. By restricting light spill, it helps photographers concentrate illumination on the subject while reducing unwanted light on nearby backgrounds and objects.

This is particularly useful for dramatic portraits, controlled studio scenes, and commercial photography where precise lighting placement is important. The removable design allows users to take off the grid when a wider spread of light is preferred.

Bowens Mount Compatibility

The Phottix Rex Pro 105cm Quick Folding Softbox is designed for compatible Bowens-mount studio lights and flashes. This mounting compatibility makes it a convenient option for photographers whose lighting equipment supports the Bowens S-type connection.

Before purchasing, verify that your specific light uses a compatible Bowens mount and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for secure installation. Compatibility should be confirmed before use to ensure the softbox is properly supported by the lighting equipment.
