Sony A6400 Body Only – 24.2MP APS-C Mirrorless Camera

The Sony A6400 Body Only is a compact and powerful APS-C mirrorless camera designed for photographers, videographers, content creators, vloggers, and enthusiasts who want excellent image quality and fast autofocus in a portable body. With a 24.2-megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor, advanced Fast Hybrid AF, Real-time Tracking, 4K video recording, and a 180° tilting touchscreen, the Sony A6400 delivers impressive performance for both photography and video production.

This body-only Sony A6400 gives you the flexibility to choose the Sony E-mount lens that best suits your photography style. Whether you need a wide-angle lens for landscapes, a standard zoom for everyday photography, a portrait lens for people and products, or a telephoto lens for wildlife and sports, the interchangeable-lens system allows you to build a setup around your specific requirements.

Powerful 24.2MP APS-C Sensor

At the heart of the Sony A6400 is a 24.2-megapixel APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor designed to produce detailed, high-quality photographs with excellent colour reproduction and strong low-light performance. The sensor provides enough resolution for professional-looking images, cropping flexibility, product photography, portraits, travel photography, events, and everyday shooting.

The camera also supports RAW and JPEG recording, giving photographers the option of capturing ready-to-share JPEG images or RAW files for more extensive editing and post-processing.

Fast and Accurate Autofocus

One of the standout features of the Sony A6400 is its sophisticated autofocus system. It combines 425 phase-detection AF points and 425 contrast-detection AF points, providing extensive coverage across the frame. Sony specifies autofocus performance as fast as approximately 0.02 seconds, helping you capture subjects quickly and accurately.

The camera also features Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye AF, making it particularly useful when photographing people, moving subjects, events, sports, and everyday moments. The intelligent tracking system helps maintain focus as your subject moves through the frame.

Up to 11fps Continuous Shooting

For action and fast-moving subjects, the Sony A6400 can capture images at up to 11 frames per second with AF/AE tracking. This makes it a practical choice for sports, wildlife, events, children, performances, and other situations where timing is critical.

4K Video Recording for Content Creators

The Sony A6400 is more than a still photography camera. It is also a capable hybrid camera for video creators, offering 4K movie recording for detailed, high-resolution footage. The camera supports 4K recording at up to 30p, making it suitable for YouTube videos, interviews, promotional content, travel videos, tutorials, and professional creative projects.

For creators who want greater control during post-production, the A6400 supports advanced picture profiles, including S-Log2, S-Log3 and HLG, providing additional flexibility for colour grading and HDR-oriented workflows.

180° Tilting Touchscreen

The Sony A6400 features a 180° tilting LCD touchscreen, which is especially useful for vloggers, presenters, photographers working from unusual angles, and creators who need to monitor their framing while recording themselves.

The tilting screen can also make low-angle and high-angle photography more convenient, allowing you to compose shots without always having to position yourself directly behind the camera.

Compact Body with Sony E-Mount Compatibility

The Sony A6400 Body Only is supplied without a lens, allowing you to select a compatible Sony E-mount lens according to your requirements. This is ideal for users who already own Sony E-mount lenses or want to build a customized camera kit from the beginning.

Its compact mirrorless design makes it convenient for travel, street photography, events, professional assignments, and everyday content creation. Despite its relatively small form factor, the camera incorporates features designed for serious photography and video work.
