Full RGB Lighting for Creative Freedom

Add Colour to Photography and Video

One of the main advantages of the ULANZI VL119 is its full RGB colour tuning capability. Instead of relying exclusively on conventional white light, you can introduce different colours into your scenes to create a particular mood or visual effect.

RGB lighting is useful for portrait photography, music videos, creative product images, gaming content, and social media productions. For example, you can use coloured illumination to create a dramatic background, add colour to the edges of a subject, or give a product shoot a distinctive visual identity.

This flexibility is particularly valuable for content creators who regularly produce different types of visual material and want to experiment with their lighting without changing their entire setup.

Adjustable Colour Temperature from 2500K to 9000K

The ULANZI VL119 provides a colour temperature range of 2500K to 9000K. Lower colour temperatures produce a warmer, more amber appearance, while higher settings create a cooler, more bluish appearance.

This adjustment helps you match the light to different environments and creative requirements. Warm illumination can create a cosy atmosphere for lifestyle videos, while cooler light can suit modern product presentations and other clean-looking scenes.

Adjusting colour temperature can also help you coordinate the tube light with other lighting equipment. Matching your light sources appropriately makes it easier to achieve consistent colours across your photographs and video footage.

High Colour Accuracy with CRI 95

Colour accuracy is important when recording people, photographing products, or producing commercial content. The ULANZI VL119 has a Colour Rendering Index (CRI) rating of 95, indicating a high level of colour-rendering performance under the CRI measurement standard.

This can be beneficial when photographing clothing, accessories, electronics, cosmetics, and other products where colour appearance matters. For portrait and video work, accurate colour rendering can also support more natural-looking skin tones when the light is positioned and balanced correctly.

Actual colour results will depend on your camera settings, surrounding light sources, exposure, and post-production workflow.

Broad Illumination for Different Shooting Setups

120-Degree Lighting Angle

With a 120-degree lighting angle, the ULANZI VL119 spreads light across a broad area. This makes it useful for accent lighting, tabletop photography, background illumination, and creative video arrangements.

Its output is rated at 708 lux at 0.3 metres, 344 lux at 0.5 metres, and 105 lux at 1 metre. These measurements help illustrate how illumination changes with distance from the light source.

For best results, position the tube according to the size of your subject and the desired lighting effect. Moving the light closer generally increases the illumination reaching the subject, while moving it farther away creates a different lighting balance.

Compact and Lightweight Tube Design

The ULANZI VL119 measures approximately 19.7 inches in length and 1.45 inches in diameter, equivalent to 500 x 37 x 37 mm. Its elongated shape offers positioning options that differ from traditional square or rectangular LED panels.

At approximately 0.45 lb (205 g), the light is easy to incorporate into many compact shooting arrangements. It can be positioned alongside a camera, mounted near a tabletop setup, or used as an accent light to introduce colour and depth into a scene.

Its plastic housing helps keep the fixture lightweight. When installing the light, always use a suitable support and check that the mounting connection is secure.

Flexible Mounting with a 1/4″-20 Female Thread

The ULANZI VL119 includes a 1/4″-20 female mounting point for use with compatible stands, brackets, and mounting accessories. This standard thread is commonly found on photography and video support equipment.

The mounting point gives you additional flexibility when arranging the tube light for different applications. You can position it according to your shooting angle, available workspace, and creative lighting plan, provided that the selected support is compatible.

Always confirm the mounting requirements of your accessories before installation, especially when positioning lighting equipment above people or valuable equipment.

Ideal Applications for the ULANZI VL119 LED Tube Light

The ULANZI VL119 can support a variety of photography and video projects, including:

• Portrait photography: Add coloured accents or supplementary illumination to creative portraits.
• Product photography: Introduce colour and visual interest into product images for online stores and advertising.
• YouTube and TikTok videos: Create distinctive lighting effects for talking-head videos, tutorials, and short-form content.
